CETI is focused on what needs to be done in our region by 2030, gleaning all that we have learned from our Net-Zero Northwest analysis, as well as the projects we have been fortunate to work on with the Oregon and Washington state agencies that are writing policies and developing programs to create an equitable clean energy economy in their respective states.

This month, CETI hosted a Decarbonization Forum exploring data center energy use and implications for the clean energy transition in the Northwest.

As the chaos emanating from our nation’s capital continues to confound, the Clean Energy Transition Institute team is holding steady with a clear focus on the many projects we’re working on in 2025 that advance clean energy solutions in the Northwest.

The CETI team is adding two new members to expand our expertise and increase our impact.

As tides shift in the federal government, CETI remains committed to our mission in the Northwest.

Before we share our direction for 2025 next month, the CETI Team takes a moment to look back at how we worked to accelerate an equitable clean energy transition in 2024, which was a year of considerable growth and output for us all.

With the 2024 election in the rearview mirror, the CETI team and Board are assessing the impact that local, state and federal results may have on achieving an equitable clean energy transition in the Northwest.

CETI’s October newsletter highlights our impact in the region, continued work on Oregon’s Energy Strategy, updates to the Northwest Clean Energy Atlas, a series of infographics that demystify electricity, and an upcoming webinar on emissions accounting.

August was exceptionally productive as the CETI team pushed hard to finish multiple projects with end-of-the-summer deadlines.

The summer is flying by. The CETI Team is working hard to stay on track with our many projects, as well as get into the mountains and out onto the water as much as possible to appreciate what we are trying so hard to protect and preserve.

In June, CETI was hard at work on projects in Oregon and Washington, dug into issues around transmission, welcomed a familiar face back to the team, and secured some exciting foundation grants.
